BOBSLEIGH, BEERS AND BURGER The Summer Toboggan and All-Weather Toboggan runs are about 41 km from Budapest. It is unforgettable! Of course there is no snow, so you hurtle down it on a wheeled bobsleigh instead. Forty miles an hour may not sound fast, but when your arse is two inches from the ground it certainly feels it. Trip includes transport to and from (about 45 minutes in each direction), 5 rides per person, 3 free beers & a hotdog or hamburger!
CLAY-PIGEON SHOOTING Hopefully it won't be the only thing you pull in Budapest. The Range caters for everyone from the absolute beginner to the pro. You will be coached through the session by an expert who will advise you and hopefully turn you into a pro by the end of the event (well at least hit the clay). You will get to try your hand at several different traps. Each type throws the clay in a different direction, speed and angle to simulate different cute small animals. Sessions include 15 clays, guide and transport. A name list must be provided 10 days before the activity to be able to shoot.
GO-KARTING INDOOR RACES A practice and qualifying session before going head to head with the rest of your group to find who is the next Formula1 Driver! Includes projected lap times you can see as you drive, Kart hire, safety equipment and track time. Up to 6 karts can race at one time. Also includes transport to and from track. If you're coming May to September, then our tip is to spend a bit extra and do the spectacular outdoor racing instead!
GO-KARTING OUTDOOR GRAND PRIX AND FREE BEER Neeeeoooowww. A spectacular track with great facilities. You'll get 10 high-powered go-karts (200cc, up to 70 to 80 km/h!) on a track nearly 1km long and 8 metres wide - so over-taking is no problem! Computer lap timing showing position, speed, fastest lap etc… given to each driver. Electronic display shows positions to spectators during the race. 12 Halogen flood lights for night time races. The 'Outdoor karting' in Budapest is usually only a basic 10 lap race, but as a SPECIAL OFFER we now include lots of free extras - instruction, equipment, 5 min. qualifyingg laps, 12 lap race for fastest and 12 lap race for non-qualifiers. The top 3 also get the chance to squirt fizzy on their mates at a closing podium ceremony and there's free beers for the whole group at the end. The track is closed in winter - roughly October to April - and an indoor track is used instead.
GUIDED PUB CRAWL AND VIP CLUB ENTRANCE Local knowledge comes in useful for helping you avoid rip-offs and places that are just s*it. Your guide will tailor your night out to the kind of places you want to visit, from dusty communist pubs, to the coolest hotspots, to Budapest's best lapdancing bars. Your group can decide on the kind of bars and clubs you want to go to and our local guide will recommend places and escort you around for up to 4 hours. We don't get commissions from anywhere so you know you'll be getting unbiased advice. Then polish yourself off with a VIP table at the top lap-dancing bar in Budapest and stay until dawn if you've got it in you. Price includes FREE drink in Strip Bar, FREE VIP rom exclusive to Pissup in Strip Bar and FREE show in the lapdancing club. Starting time as late as 10pm.
PAINTBALL Assault your mates with your balls. Situated on the outskirts of Budapest on a disused army base, the site has great abandoned buildings, trenches and the surrounding forests. Includes 5-hour paintball game, 200 paintballs, safety equipment, gun hire, instruction and transport to and from. Extra paintballs can be purchased at HUF 17 each (about 4 pence). Aim for their thighs to get the biggest welts.
Food and drinks can be made available for your group for GBP 14/EUR 17 but needs to be pre-arranged.
PARACHUTING Poo your pants with a tandem jump from 2500 metres (8000 feet). You'll freefall for 1500 metres (5000 feet) and reach 200 km/h on drop! On-ground instruction and jump takes approx. 1 hour and includes everything necessary. Cameraman films the whole jump from take off to touch down. The event takes place about 40 miles from the centre of Budapest and includes transport but not spare undies. Mates who want to watch can just pay for transport (EURO 12 or equivalent each).
QUAD CROSS-COUNTRY CHALLENGE Starting from the quad centre on the outskirts of Budapest, you will race across challenging countryside terrain; crossing rivers, under tunnels and through forests. One seater 250cc quads are given for groups under 10 and two seater 800cc quads are for groups over 10. Larger groups do a different route to ensure everyone gets equal time driving the quad. Smaller groups will also enjoy food with a beer back at the centre. Groups over 10 will stop for lunch at a country restaurant! The event takes approx. 4 hours including transport to event. Minimum group 6, maximum group 20.
QUAD TRACK RACING Ride this challenging one-kilometre long 'Syncro' track on 125cc & 250cc quads. session then a semi-final and final to decide which of your group is the mega-super-quaaaaaad master. As an extra bit of interest, the track runs along an old Soviet army base. The price includes all the track time, quad hire, safety equipment, instruction and transport to and from the event.
SHOOTING - REGULAR Join Dirty Hungarian Harry and try out a selection of guns on different ranges. See who is the best shot with a selection of semi-automatic and revolver handguns. You also get to try a pump-action or semi-automatic shotgun, depending on availability. Includes approx 70 bullets, selection of guns (including a 9mm Glock), 5 shotgun rounds and after trying all the guns, you get 10 x 9mm rounds each to see who is the best shot!
It's also possible to try the infamous AK47 as an extra if the instructors think you are good enough? Even in semi automatic mode this is a spectacular gun to fire!
Anyone with previous mental illness or considered unsafe will not be allowed to take part.
SIGHTSEEING TOUR AND BEER Mmm, look at that lovely entrance, etc.. on a 3-hour city tour with an amusing guide. Get a taste of all the city's sights including the castle, city park and parliament. It's a quick way to see the whole city before you head to the pub. Pick-up is from your hotel, price includes 2 stops for beers going in and out - there's no loo on board.
SPA DETOX AND BEER RETOX Budapest is famous for them, so what better way to clear out the systems after a night on the vitamin L than a dip in a hot pool and stinging sauna? It's good for you and it definitely kills hangovers better than anything else we've tried. For those of you who fancy it, you can also arrange extras like massage sessions and other pampering options when at the spa. Price includes an all day pass and a free beer but the cost of public transport to the city centre location isn't included. Don't forget your speedo thong.
WOOKIE HOLING "All these tight holes - I can't fit my helmet in." The only place you might see a big hairy wookie in Budapest is in the Buda Hills, where there is a never-ending network of stunning caves, some of which have only been recently found. This is proper caving, not a tourist walk! Pull on your overalls, slap on a helmet and enjoy this 3 hour experience down under.
